About Cass Lake Area Food Shelf
Cass Lake Area Food Shelf knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but, most notably, through the actions of our initiatives.
We are an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. Our non-profit organization realized that by working together, we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently.
Cass Lake Area Food Shelf was established in 2013 as a 501(c)(3), has been serving the community for over 20 years now.

To provide sustenance to our community when needed, with integrity, in a supportive and compassionate way.
CLAFS Mission Statement
The CLAFS has a fiduciary responsibility to the community to keep operating costs low so that we may spend most of the funding on food for the community. It is our responsibility to provide food security, directly or indirectly, to people in the Cass Lake area to help in our belief that no one goes hungry regardless of age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, creed, or disability. We are committed to making our community a better place through our mission and programs, and our primary focus is to ensure access to healthy and nutritious food for anyone who needs our support and assistance.
